I love flowers, art, and connecting with the community. I have been practicing ikebana under the Sogetsu school, Toronto chapter branch since 2017, but my love and appreciation of flowers dates back to my childhood. My earliest memory of playing with flowers was during a family trip to San Diego. I remember exploring the neighbourhood with my cousin, Dere; picking flowers from the parking lot and making them into lei. Ever since, I've taken an interest in identifying wildflowers, growing flowers in my garden, and arranging flowers for my loved ones. My favourite flowers are whatever is local and in season, but if it were up to me I'd have a butterfly ranunculus and pink lemonade cosmos in every bouquet!
